New TF Stallion for 2021 Breeding Season

The IHRA, with agreement of Mr Jean Pierre Dubois of Haras De La Gastine have agreed to lease “So Lovely Girl” for the 2021 breeding season for Trotteur Francais broodmares this year which allows Irish breeders access the royal French bloodline which has continued, a level of success like no other.  

Haras De La Gastine is known worldwide for its association of top-class trotting stallions including Coktail Jet, Fabulous Wood, Follow You, Goetmals Wood, Love You & Rockerfeller Center to name but a few and we are delighted to making one of their resident stallions a part time home in Moorside Stables from the Spring of this year. Mr JP Dubois has bred 2,420 winners and has driven 1,402 winners on 1,736 different horses in a career spanning almost 40 years. He is also noted as having bred numerous Group 1 winners in Flat Racing.


So Lovely Girl by Kaisy Dream o/o My Lovely Girl, qualified in Caen in 1’15”6 and raced for two years. Within these two years, he raced 17 times with 5 wins, 2 seconds and a third under his belt with a total of €264,200 prizemoney won and holds a lifetime record of 1’13”2, in the Grand Prix De La UET Elimination at Le Croise Laroche in 2010. Prior to that record, he won three races as a two-year-old the Prix De Valognes in Cabourg in a time of 1’18”7, the Prix Unitas and Prix Ourasi in 1’17”9 and 1’16”8 both in Vincennes. His two three-year-old wins were both in Vincennes.

Since starting his breeding career he has had 261 foals, of which 51% have qualified (133). His best foal qualified in 1’13”8 and has earned €189,870. He has 13 brothers and sisters of which nine have qualified to date.

So Lovely Girl is extremely well bred with his Sire and Grand Sire having 1’11”-1’12” records.

The Dam, Grand Dam and Great Grand Dam all have numerous siblings that have records of 1′ 10” – 1′ 12”.


His Sire, Kaisy Dream (Extreme Dream) had 45 starts which we made up of 12 wins, 12 seconds and 5 thirds. His lifetime best was 1’12”3 and won €1,012,913 in his career. To date, he has had 728 foals of which 324 have qualified (51%), the fastest competing in 1’10”0 and winning €705,950. He has 17 brothers and sisters, 15 of whom raced.


His Dam, My Lovely Girl (Coktail Jet) had 8 starts which we made up of 2 wins and a second. She qualified in a time of 1’21”4 and has a lifetime record of 1’18”3 and earnings of €23,000. To date she has had 13 foals, 9 of whom have raced so far. She has 13 siblings, 11 of whom have raced. She is a full sister to Love You, Nice Love & Repeat Love. Love You is a leading stallion in France and worldwide in terms of earnings of €14 million per year on average.
