Movement of Horses………
- The IHRA Veterinary & Welfare Commission would like to advise owners & trainers that the movement of horses to/from trainers establishments must be notified by email to the IHRA Office.
- Failure to declare the departure of a horses listed in training by any licensed trainer and/or the arrival of any horse currently listed in training by another trainer will be subject to a monetary fine and suspension of the said horse from racing for a period of 21 days.
- A similar penalty will apply for failure to declare the sale/transfer of ownership of any horse currently listed in training/racing in 2018.
- Please note the notification of movement of horses is a regulatory requirement by the Department of Agriculture under Registration of Equine Premises legislation
