Irish Harness Racing Association received an invitation to participate in LADIES’ INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP organised by Malta Racing Club between 4th and 8th of May.
IHRA is delighted to accept the invite and send the leading lady driver Brenda Hudson to represent Ireland in the championship! Brenda Hudson, has set the high bar for the next generation of girls. Over four decades, the leading lady driver has notched up over 500 wins, most often with horses whom she trained herself. She has claimed most Classics, and broken track-records across Ireland, England and Scotland. Having represented Ireland and the UK internationally, Brenda is highly esteemed among her male competitors, and is said to be “as good as any and better than most”.
Brenda has represented Ireland at the Meadowlands in 1999 in Ladies International championships, where she finished 2nd. It’s time to come back on international stage! Brenda Hudson: It is great opportunity and publicity for our sport. Hopefully this event will open the doors for younger generation of lady drivers in Ireland! I am very proud to represent my country once again!
