IHRA Committee Meetings on Saturday 24th March

On Saturday last, the IHRA committee meeting took place in Portlaoise. Prior to the specific committee meetings, a discussion on communications took place from the IHRA board to committees to stakeholders and vice versa. The IHRA directors also acknowledged their failure in communicating the fee increase prior to the announcement. Over the next few days, an email address for each of the committees will be set up where stakeholders can send any issues which they wish to get clarification on. These email accounts will also be used to filter the board decisions back down firstly to the committee members and then back to the stakeholders. Once the committee members have received the information, a notice will be published on line.

Afterwards, the committees broke into their individual groups and discussed the attached agendas. A robust debate was had on all matters and a further update will be given once the board approves these recommendations. Issues and concerns which were raised by stakeholders to committee members were also discussed at each of the three meetings. The next committee meetings will take place in April.
