Following lengthy consideration, the IHRA Stakeholders & Racecourse 
committees have decided to push back the season opening to Sunday 31st March.
The committee’s would like to apologize to all grassroot members who have been preparing for the 17th of March and have not taken this decision lightly.
It was felt that the initial opening date was too ambitious and whilst the new opening date is now two weeks later than advertised, it is still within the committee’s objectives to extend the season, either side by a two week period on an annual basis.
