Following a Committee meeting on Sunday 15th SHRI wish to advise all members, horse owners, trainers and public alike that we intend to forge ahead with the remainder of this seasons race program which include a number of prestigious sponsored events such as the Christy Reid Memorial, the Paddy & Jason Kane Memorial, the Des Kelly sponsored meeting and others.
Due to declining horse numbers it is most likely that heats and finals will be the general format in the coming weeks, saddle races will be added on the day on the basis of sufficent entries and will be run for the total entry fee. Every effort will be made to accomodate a non winners format.
The continuation of the racing season will depend on sufficent entries being available and your support is paramount, Portmarnock Raceway has an ongoing weekly financial and legal obligation which has to be adhered to.
