- To be eligible for penalty free racing Horses must have competed in a betting race during the 2012 racing season under IHRC rules.
- The maximum purse allowed for a penalty free race is €600, races with a total purse in excess of this amount will not be regarded as penalty free and the normal monetary value earned will be added to the horses mark.
- Penalty free runs will not count for end of season lift.
- Any issues arising in relation to the running or interpretation of Penalty Free rules will be referred to the IHRC Handicap Panel for adjudication.
- Please Note: The BHRC will recognise the Penalty Free Racing in Ireland from 1st October provided the conditions are adhered to.
