The Committe of SHRI are pleased to announce that the contract has been signed with the Fingal Leader Partnership today for the EU Leader grant funding totalling close to €150,000 by Mr Mark Flanagan on behalf of the club. This concludes the formal process which has been ongoing since January 2012 and paves the way for the development works to take place over the coming weeks. Funding will cover 75% of the proposed works which include
- Track Grader/Conditioner
- Covered Seated Grand Stand
- Childrens Playground
- Fully Equipped Commentary/Video Box/Stewards Room
- Photo Finish Camera
- CCTV Track Stewarding Camera System
- Broadcast Video Camera /Streaming Solution
- Bar Cold Room
- Office
This is a major achievement for the SHRI Club and Portmarnock Raceway and is a vote of confidence for the sport of harness racing in Ireland.
