Tote Information Dundalk Stadium

The Dundalk meeting this Sunday, 3 June, will be made up of two race cards with the first race scheduled for 3.00pm start and the last race for a 7.40pm start.

The first six events will be a race-meeting for both Pacers and Trotteur-Francais with the remaining five being on the PMU for Trotteur-Francais horses.

The Trotteur-Francais races will be broadcast and bet on in France and its affiliated territories through the PMU. Under the terms of the requirements with Le-Trot, these races must only have Tote Wagering.

The Irish Harness Racing Association (IHRA) has organised for the On-Course Tote at Dundalk to bet directly into the PMU Pool.

This means that patrons at Dundalk will be able to place a bet with confidence knowing their wager will be part of an existing large pool.

At this corresponding Dundalk meeting last year, the PMU held a collective pool of bets amounting to 150.000 – 200.000 euros on each race.

The Tote will bet to around 115-125% per bet type. Win Pool is the lowest ‘take-out’ rate.

With the size of the pool we will be betting into, the odds expected should be longer.

By Betting into the On-course Tote on Sunday, a percentage of every bet will be returned directly to the IHRA and benefit all Members. This has been budgeted and one of the reasons for the high level of Stakes on offer for this meeting.
