Dundalk – 7th August

The meeting scheduled to be conducted at Dundalk on 7th August has been cancelled.

This decision was made after consultation with Dundalk Stadium management.

September 11th & 25th meetings remain as scheduled.

After analysing the attendance records, bookings in the restaurant and tote turnover from the meeting conducted 17th July it was hard to justify the cost of putting on this meeting with a return to be made for both IHRA & Dundalk.

We must as an organisation look toward making both September meetings successful in all areas and notably attending Dundalk and utilising the restaurant.

These September meetings have commitments for international broadcasts to occur and will need to be successful if future international opportunities are to continue to arise and this includes the proposed PMU meetings for 2017.

Last year the IHRA achieved access to Dundalk, this year we have continued to grow with these Dundalk meetings with the introduction of off-course international betting being a major step forward

We will continue to grow and progress but can only do so if there is committed support from the Members.  

Portmarnock will now replace this meeting on 7th August with racing scheduled to commence at 3pm.
