A MOMENTUS DAY FOR HARNESS RACING IN IRELAND 
Le-Trot confirmed in an e-mail stating: “…we propose… five races: Wednesday May 10th. First race at 11.15am..”
Again this a huge step forward for the IHRA – probably the single most important thing to ever happen in the history of Irish Harness racing.
Not only will this meeting be broadcast and wagered throughout France but also all PMU affiliate countries throughout Europe (including Belgium, Germany and Switzerland) plus multiple African countries.
In addition, the IHRA is in negotiations for this meeting to be covered in Ireland, UK and Australia. We need to aim for full fields as the size of the races will have a significant bearing on the amount wagered on the meeting (which in turn will increase our commission).
The IHRA is working hard to ensure that prize money offered for these races will be an amount never previously before offered for ‘standard’ races.
